Panel Discussion: Prison Release: Challenges and Reintegration

Thursday, May 18, 2006, 3-5 pm

What does it take to rebuild a life after incarceration, what resources are available, and how does government policy affect those choices? This panel discussion, which accompanied the exhibit "New Work from Connecticut Prisons," brought together public health advocates, job trainers, community-based researchers, policy makers, and others to discuss the challenges faced by ex-offenders and some of the resources that are available to them in rebuilding their lives. The panel was moderated by Laurie Sylla, Research Projects Director, Yale AIDS Program, Yale School of Medicine.
