Jean J. Schensul, Ph.D., is a medical anthropologist
with over 20 years of experience in the conduct
of HIV prevention and other health-related research
in urban areas of the United States and in developing
countries. Her areas of expertise include research
methods, drug research, sexuality and HIV, and
school and community based structural approaches
to intervention.
Dr. Schensul was presented with the 2010 Malinowski Award from the Society for Applied Anthropology (SfAA) on Friday, March 25, 2010 in Merida, Mexico at the Society's 70th Annual Meeting.
